12 HURT IN BUS ACCIDENT

Bhadrapur, Dec. 16: Twelve people were injured when a passenger bus met with an accindet in Jhapa on Thursday.

The bus bearing the registration number Me 1 Kha 931 bound for Bhadrapur from Dharan overturned at around 2:00 pm in Surunga.

The injured have been taken to the hospital in Birtamod for treatment, according to the police. Among them, some are said be in critical condition.




HEALTH CAMP BENEFITS 840 WOMEN

Around 840 women of Ilam, Panchthar and Taplejung districts had free check up at a health camp organised at Dr. Megh Bahadur Community Hospital in Ilam.

In the 10-day long camp, 15 women, who were suffering from uterine prolapse, received free surgery service.

Community Hospital, Singfring, and Himalayan Health Care, Jawalakhel, provided financial and technical assistance to organise the camp that concluded today.

The organisers also provided X-ray, video X-ray, blood test, stool and urine test, and ECG services free of cost.
Besides Nepali, five American doctors were also involved in the treatment.




COPS SEIZE ILLEGAL GOODS

Goods worth Rs. 2.2 million was seized by Jhapa-based Pathibhara Battalion of Armed Police Force (APF).

An APF team led by Babu Ram Paudel seized a truck (Me 1 Kha 1110) full of clothes and electric goods that were imported illegally from India through Kakadbhitta.

The truck and goods have been handed over to Itahari-based Revenue Investigation Office for further action.
