Baby photographs set a Guinness World Record

The largest photo mosaic was set when 105,196 individual photos of babies composed a mosaic which measured 660.525 m² (7109.8 ft²) in Shanghai, China, on 27 April 2008, achieved by P&G Pampers.

The photos were collected online from all over China by the organizer of the event, P&G Pampers, which intends to emphasize the importance of sleep to babies and their families. All the photos were pasted on the boards by hand, and it took more than ten days to construct the mosaic.

Many of the parents of the babies also attended the event when the mosaic was unveiled on 27 April in Shanghai, China. They were very glad that their babies could break a world record, as one of the parent said: “We are very proud that our baby could join in such an event by his photos. He will be very proud when we tell him when he grows up.” Guinness World Records adjudicator Angela Wu also hopes that "all Chinese babies will have a bright future".
